BRIEF PROFILE

Dr.Vishal Kumar Chorasiya is a well-regarded and highly skilled liver transplant surgeon. He has been professionally working in the field of Liver surgery and transplantation for the past 18 years and has experience in performing more than 4000 liver-related surgeries including 2500+ liver transplants and around 600+ complex liver resections including highly complex isolated caudate, central and segmental liver resections among others. He has done substantial body of work in minimally invasive liver surgery, especially for the living donor with strong experience in laparoscopic donor hepatectomies. His areas of interest include advanced laparoscopic surgeries for pancreas, biliary tree and GI Tract.

He has to his credit numerous international publications in prestigious transplant journals and presentations & lectures at various national and international transplant forums on various liver transplant and laparoscopic donor techniques.

Best Surgical Video Award at the 6th World Congress of International LDLT Group/LTSiCON 2023 Titled “Vascular Stapler Malfunction During Laparoscopic Donor Hepatectomy”  

Setting up country’s first fully laparoscopic liver donor program as one of the principal surgeon.

Mentoring and help setting up the liver transplant program at TUTH, Kathmandu, Nepal, the largest public sector hospital in Nepal. 

Setting up Liver transplant program at three Fortis group of hospitals in Delhi NCR as senior core member and one of the principal surgeons.
